A R T I S T ' S B O O K S
I have always loved books. And I have always loved hand-made objects. For me, artists' books are a great way to combine graphic design with art and craft. I began to study the art of making books by hand when graphic design was transitioning from primarily hand-work on a drawing table to computers. While I found the computer quite fascinating, and the control over the work liberating, I missed having a strong physical relationship with my ideas. Making small books allowed me personal expression as well as the sublime satisfaction of crafting something completely by hand.
