A few years before the COVID-19 pandemic, I had created an earthenware series called "After the Apocalypse". I had begun to wonder about the apocalypse theme that appeared in a number of films and books, so I decided to explore that. The series is, for me, figures re-emerging from the earth, changed but hopeful. After a year and a half of living with the pandemic, it seems even more relevant.
